Cookie Policy

This policy explains how Sentimentick uses cookies and similar technologies, including browser local storage used for authentication and consent preferences.

Last updated: May 26, 2026

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how Sentimentick, Inc. ("Sentimentick," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit or use the Sentimentick website, applications, and related services (the "Service").

This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy (/privacy) and Terms of Use. By continuing to use the Service after seeing our cookie notice, you acknowledge this policy.

2. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, and device identifiers that store or access information on your device.

Cookies may be session-based (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent (remain until they expire or you delete them). First-party cookies are set by Sentimentick; third-party cookies are set by service providers we use.

3. Strictly Necessary Cookies and Storage

These technologies are required for the Service to function and cannot be switched off in our systems in the same way optional cookies can.

  • Security and fraud prevention related to account access.
  • Load balancing, routing, and infrastructure delivery through our hosting providers.
  • Remembering that you have accepted our cookie notice (stored in your browser local storage).

4. Functional Preferences

When you are signed in, certain preferences—such as watchlists, alert settings, and account configuration—may be stored on our servers to provide the features included in your plan. These are tied to your account rather than advertising profiles.

If you use optional UI preferences stored locally in your browser, clearing site data may reset those preferences.

5. Authentication Storage (localStorage)

Sentimentick uses browser local storage—not HTTP cookies—to store your session access token after you sign in. This allows the application to authenticate API requests on your behalf.

  • The token is removed when you sign out or clear site data for sentimentick.com.
  • You should not share your device or browser profile with untrusted parties while signed in.
  • This storage is strictly necessary for authenticated use of the Service.

6. Payment Processing

If you subscribe to a paid plan, you may be redirected to PayPal or another payment processor. Those providers may set their own cookies or similar technologies to process payments, prevent fraud, and comply with their legal obligations.

We do not control third-party payment cookies. Please review PayPal's privacy and cookie policies when completing checkout.

7. Analytics and Marketing

As of the last updated date below, Sentimentick does not deploy third-party advertising or analytics cookies in the web application. [Insert analytics providers and cookie details when enabled.]

If we introduce analytics or marketing tools in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, request your consent before using non-essential cookies.

8. Third-Party Services

We may rely on third parties that set or read technologies on our behalf, including:

  • Hosting and content delivery networks that operate the Service.
  • Google Fonts, which may involve requests to Google servers when fonts are loaded (see Google's privacy policy).
  • Payment processors such as PayPal during subscription checkout.
  • [Insert additional subprocessors when applicable.]

9. Your Choices

  • Use the cookie banner on our site to acknowledge this policy.
  • Adjust cookie settings in your browser to block or delete cookies.
  • Clear local storage and other site data for sentimentick.com to remove authentication tokens and consent preferences.
  • Sign out of your account before using a shared device.

Blocking strictly necessary technologies may prevent you from signing in or using core features.

10. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because there is no uniform industry standard for responding to DNT, Sentimentick does not currently respond to DNT signals. We will revisit this if standards change.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version with an updated last-updated date. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service or by email where appropriate.
